Level Ground Trading was founded by four families living on Vancouver Island for the purpose of improving the lives of disadvantaged producers through trade. At Level Ground they shake the hands that pick the coffee. And that's not a tagline or a hollow marketing spin. It's their promise. From every farmer that they have relationships with to their loyal consumers, they are committed to Direct Fair Trade. Their mission is to return the highest possible price to the farmers who grow the coffee while upholding a comprehensive set of Fair Trade standards. At their home office they operate a zero landfill facility (they have no dumpster!). They utilize 13 streams of recycling, and their production facility is organic certified. All of their marketing materials are printed on 100% fsc stock using vegetable based inks.
