The Mark buys fresh local fruit, veggies and meat for their restaurant. They are a member of the Island Chefs' Collaborative (ICC) which supports a network of local farmers. As well, the Mark indicates seafood choices on their menu that are sustainable by using the Ocean Wise symbol. The Ocean Wise program is a Vancouver Aquarium conservation program created to educate and empower consumers about the issues surrounding sustainable seafood. The restaurant also has a sustainable wines program, where they identify wines on their menu with a green dot to indicate that the winery is environmentally and socially responsible in their grape growing and wine making practices.
