In 1998, Oilfield Batteries International was incorporated in the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our first objective was to service the growing demand for battery packs to power downhole drilling tools. Our next objective was to work with customers to help them implement the most efficient usage and construction of their battery packs. Our final objective was, and always will be, to provide top-quality service and customer care for all their battery needs. With our firm commitment to customer service, we have experienced excellent growth rate through the years. OBI began selling batteries into the United States since its inception and in the Spring of 2000 opened a sales office in Houston, Texas to better service the growing demand. OBI saw rapid expansion of the U.S. sales market and in April of 2003 opened a production facility in the Houston area.
