Canadian Grassroots Environmental Organisation

Earthroots, a Canadian grassroots Environmental organisation, is committed to protecting the wilderness and watersheds of Ontario and all of Canada. We strive to further our cause by concentrating on research, Education and action. Earthroots was formerly known as the Temagami Wilderness Society until 1991.

We are made up of two separate organisations. Earthroots Fund focuses on research and public education, while Earthroots Coalition engages in advocacy and action. Our main goal is to protect the threatened species and wilderness areas in Ontario and beyond. We do this by organizing media events, empowering Canadians to speak out and advocate for wilderness area, ensure proper forest management planning and participate in wilderness research projects.

Canadians can get involved with Earthroots by donating to our cause, volunteering in our office or in our community outreach endeavors, or by “adopting” a tree or a wolf. We also have an Etsy store where we offer unique, hand-printed designs.
