Environmentally Conscious Engineering

At Blackwell, we have been offering environmentally conscious Engineering to architects, building owners and developers since 1987. We feel that efficient structure and excellent quality leads to the Energy Efficiency and environmental friendliness that all businesses should strive for in the 21st century.

We offer our clients a variety of Natural Building recommendations and methods. One is the use of natural building materials, like adobe, natural plasters, straw bale and timber for framing. We focus on sustainable design and making as small an impact as possible on the environment. Using natural materials in building is not only better for the earth, but often healthier for those dwelling in the buildings, as well.

Among other organisations, Blackwell is a member of the Canada Green Building Council, and we take our commitment to our clients and the environment seriously. We look forward to continuing to offer innovative design, consulting and engineering solutions as we head into the future.
