Private Land Conservation

The Canadian Land Trust Alliance, or CLTA, is invested in promoting private land Conservation and strengthening the land trust movement. Land trusts are private organisations that care for areas of land that belong to private owners or to the land trust itself. Anyone interested can become part of the land trust and volunteer to help uphold the area.

Those belonging to a land trust board are usually concerned with Sustainability, benefiting the Environment, and conservation. Our membership is comprised of non-profit organisations, government agencies, non-government organisations, businesses and individuals. People come from a wide range of backgrounds and specialties, but all are committed to making the environment a better place.

The CLTA sponsors events on an occasional basis, including an annual conference. If you are interested in membership or in supporting our cause, we invite you to inquire about our next event or request a membership application.
