Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, or CPAWS, is dedicated to protecting Canada’s natural areas. Our goal is to assist Canada in preserving and conserving the landscapes and waterscapes that are home to many ecosystems and ecozones.
Conserving the Wildlife and native plant life in Canada is a lot of what CPAWS focuses on. Other concerns include preserving the ethnic heritage that is evident in various areas of the country, promoting environmental awareness and encouraging individuals, communities, businesses, industries and the government to participate in Conservation efforts.
CPAWS has 13 chapters and over 60,000 members. We are proud to work collaboratively with even more supporters, including government agencies and First Nations communities, to help keep Canada beautiful. The health of the environment depends on each of us doing our part.
