Protecting Our Forests

The Ecoforestry Institute Society is an organisation dedicated to protecting our forests while advocating for responsible forest use. We recognise the need to maintain the ecosystems in the forests of British Columbia while carefully balancing the amount of high-quality timber that is harvested. We hope to develop and implement new Forestry practices that will help us reach both of these goals.

We offer educational programs to the public in order to increase awareness. By participating in these programs, you will be supporting the Ecoforestry Institute Society as well as learning something about how you can work with and reduce your impact on the environment.

We understand that in order to be socially responsible, we need to support the timber industry. In order to be Environmentally Responsible, we must adhere to practices which allow the complex Ecosystem of the forest to thrive. We look forward to realising both of these ideals as we head into the future.
