Canadian Model Forest Network, or CMFN, is an organisation that helps create sustainable forests and communities. We represent 14 member organisations, and those organisations represent over 500 more smaller organisations in 200 communities across the country. These include schools, government organisations, industries, researchers and aboriginal communities.
Our members have a wide range of expertise and experience in all facets of forest issues. We focus on responsible Resource Management and encourage our members to do the same. Within that, there are different concentrations, including making policy changes to benefit the Environment, coming up with new ways for those living in the forests to succeed economically and updating procedures to make them greener, cleaner and more in line with current concerns.
The CMFN has established seven national programs and we support many local programs, as well. If you are interested in joining, we urge you to contact us.
