Canadian Organic Growers, or COG, is a charitable organisation made up of members who strive toward sustainable organic stewardship of the land. Our members include organic and non-organic farmers, gardeners, retailers, educators, policy-makers and consumers. They all believe that Organic Food is best for health, the environment and sustainability.
COG supports many endeavors, including farmers transitioning from non-organic to certified organic growing and processing, consumers looking for healthier ways to feed themselves and their families, various organic organisations and government agencies. We provide information on and assistance in organic food production, Conservation, sustainable community-building and environmentalism.
Some of the activities that we are involved with include publishing and disseminating a magazine, hosting Organic Week, putting on workshops and farm tours, promoting policy changes in government and non-government agencies, and seed-saving programs to increase bio-diversity.
