We here at Environmental Defence Canada have been working since the mid 1980s to protect the environment and human health of the country. In those nearly three decades, we have placed some amazing achievements under our belts. For example in 1992, the Supreme Court ruled that the federal government are required to perform environmental assesments for all projects which require federal permits, and we fought for a review of a dam that was proposed to be built on the Oldman River.

We are the country's most effective environmental action organization. We hope to create a more environmentally friendly and healthier life for everybody by inspiring change in individuals, companies and government.
